G&W 138kV Transition Joint

G&W Electric Company, Blue Island, IL, has introduced a line of transmission voltage
cable transition joints for systems rated through 138kV. The transition joints are
designed to join extruded dielectric to SCLF low pressure oil filled cables up to
2000mm2 (4000 kcmil). The joint utilizes prefabricated components for permitting
fast, repeatable quality installation. The joints are tested to IEEE 404 and IEC 840.
