General
This specification covers the requirements for a transmission
voltage, extruded dielectic cable terminations for oil filled
transformer or switchgear applications. The termination design
shall be G&W style PATR and suitable for use on single
conductor cables through 245 kV. The terminations shall be
used on single copper or aluminum conductor cable with extruded
insulation from 127-2000 mm2 (250 - 4000 kcmil).
Standards
and Ratings
The
terminations shall be designed, tested and built in accordance
with applicable sections of IEC 840, IEEE 48 for Class 1 terminations,
AEIC CS7 and AEIC CS6. The terminations shall be rated:
