With over 20,000 installations worldwide, the G&W Stress Control Elastomer has been shown to provide up to 40 years of reliable service life. G&W's 69 kV terminations meet or exceed the requirements of the applicable IEEE-48 standard for Class 1 Terminations.

FEATURES:

SPRING-LOADED ELASTOMER STRESS CONE: Provides stress relief at the cable semi-conducting insulation shield and a permanent elastomeric seal at the termination base. Spring pressure on the stress-cone compensates for the expansion and contraction over a wide temperature range, assuring a void-free interface under severe climatic conditions.

SOLID/LIQUID DIELECTRIC SYSTEMS: The excellent heat transfer characteristics provide a termination that does not limit the current rating of the cable. The current carrying capacity of the terminator is equal to that of the cable.

FAST, EASY INSTALLATION: Unit is pre-assembled. Taping and special tools are not required. Cable cut back dimensions do not vary and are the same for each cable.

FIELD MAINTENANCE: No field maintenance, beyond periodic cleaning, is required. If cable replacement is required, the termination housing can be retrofit with the new termination kit at the installation site.

REGISTERED SERIAL NUMBERS: Each termination is identified with a serial number. The customer names and cable characteristics are recorded by serial number.
