G&W's EPOX technology division specializes
in the development and manufacture of polymer insulated solutions
for the power utility industry and OEM markets. Product insulation
systems include epoxies, thermoplastics and polyurethanes.
Epoxy insulated products use preformulated bisphenol-A and
cycloaliphatic epoxy resin systems. Preformulated material
batching and filler control meets ISO 9000 certification.
Molded products can be traced to material batch numbers and
conformance specifications.
The insulation systems are processed via
advanced Hedrich Company meter-mix dosing plants which monitor
all material preparation and molding parameters to assure
void-free and dimensionally accurate products in a production
environment. Computer modeling and CNC machining centers
are used to develop manufacturing solutions for a wide variety
of products. Product quality control is assured by inhouse
equipment and facilities including electrical test lab, real-time
x-ray, environmental cycling chamber and production SF6 leak
detection.
