Fault
interrupting to 50kA symmetrical.
For applications through 23kV requiring current limitation
and overcurrent interruption through 50kA
symmetrical,
SF6 switches can be equipped with integral air insulated,
canister style current limiting fusing.
G&W's
rectangular tank linear puffer (LP) and Rotary Blade (SF)
switches are available in two-way through six-way configurations.
Switches are rated through 23kV, 600A maximum continuous current.
Protected ways are rated per Table 2 (see bottom of page).
Bushings and operating apparatus can be front, top, bottom
or side mounted. Wall mounting channels and various
frame options are available. Both horizontal and vertical
styles are available.
| Features:
|

Switch
with front mounted fusing. |
 |
Compact, dead-front construction. |
 |
Mechanical
or key interlocking arrangments preventing access to
the fuses unless the switch is in the open position. |
 |
Safe,
quick fuse replacement using conventional tools and
without exposing switch dielectric or current carrying
parts to environmental contamination. |
 |
Two
fuses can be connected in parallel to double the capacity
rating of the switch. |
 |
Fuse
curves are available through your G&W representative. |

Tank depth = 26" (584mm), tank height = 28" (711mm).
Optional
6-1/2" phase spacing (SRA style) is available for PI
switches and will increase tank depth by 3" (76mm).
All dimensions are approximate and do not include entrances,
guages, frames, operators or mounting channels.

the following information to the appropriate fused switch
specifications. |
| Canister
Fusing Construction |
|
Fusing
shall be deadfront and submersible using non-venting,
current limiting fuses installed in drywell canisters
built into the switch. The fuses shall be ANSI
C37.473.C rated, interrupting both high and low level
fault currents while limiting the available fault current
on the system.
The
fuseholder shall be located for easy fuse replacement
and be interlocked to prevent fuse removal unless the
series switch is open. |
